Ambience has five convenient air conditioning showroom locations across the Perth metropolitan region including Bibra Lake, Gosnells, Joondalup, Rockingham and Midland.
Ambience services all air conditioning heating and cooling needs across metropolitan Perth and areas of regional WA from Jurien Bay in the north to Bunbury in the south.
Ambience designs, sells and installs evaporative air conditioning, ducted air conditioning, reverse cycle air con and wall hung split systems for both heating and cooling in Perth. The company supplies quality air conditioning brands including Panasonic, Fujitsu, Samsung, Breezair, Braemar, Coolair, and all other top brands.
Air conditioning essentially cleans and dehumidifies (removes excess moisture) and keeps a set temperature constant. Each conditioning unit has a compressor which circulates a liquid refrigerant.
The compressor moves the refrigerant from an evaporator, through a condenser and expansion valve, back to the evaporator. The evaporator is in front of a fan that pulls hot, humid air out of a room. The refrigerant makes the hot air’s moisture condense into drops of water, removing the heat from the air. Once the water is removed, the cool air is sent back into the room.
Some systems are controlled manually, others by infra-red remote control. Split systems, for example, have an infra-red remote control with functions to control temperature settings, timers and fan speeds and heating/cooling/fan modes. Ducted air conditioning systems are controlled generally through a centrally located wall mounted controller. This unit controls temperature settings, fan speeds, modes and timer functions.
A room conditioner is a traditional form of cooling where the compressor and fan are together in one box. The units are generally installed into a window or wall. A split system comprises of two units – the outdoor condenser and compressor, and the indoor unit which houses the evaporator fan. These units are connected by refrigeration pipes. The design of a split system allows the unit to be quiet in operation, and generally more efficient on electricity use.
A ducted system is designed to cool more than one room within your home. The indoor fan coil unit is situated manually in the ceiling space and is connected to the outdoor condensing unit. Individual outlets are situated in each room with the cooling unit controlled by a central controller. Unlike the ducted system, the split system is primarily designed to cool only one room.
If you want to cool an entire house then a ducted system is the best option. Ducted systems are less obtrusive than wall mounted split systems and have the ability to efficiently cool large areas.
Zoning allows temperatures to be varied in certain areas of a house. This is done through the use of zone controls in the ductwork in the ceiling space. For example, a two-storey house may have an upstairs and downstairs zone, commonly called a day/night zone. A larger house may have four or five zones.
The size and design of a ducted cooling and/or heating system depend on a range of factors:
Ambience Air can design or recommend a system for your individual situation.
Reverse cycle refers to a system that can be switched to either heating or cooling depending on environmental conditions. Most modern units have a reverse cycle function.
Reverse cycle advantages:
A new innovation, an inverter is quieter during operation and more energy efficient than a conventional unit. The finely tuned operation of the inverter allows quick cooling or heating and less temperature variations in a room. It uses a variable speed compressor.
Inverter technology advantages:
Ambience consultants are experienced in determining the cooling and heating requirements for home, office and light commercial buildings. As Perth’s and WA’s air conditioning specialists in ducted, evaporative and reverse cycle air con we can explain all the options and recommend a system suited to your individual needs.
